DocReady Primary Care and Urgent Care Physician

Telemedicine has been around for a while but has recently become more popular due to the social distancing and stay-at-home orders. Many primary care providers have begun to offer telemedicine for their patients that are within the insurance network. However, many people without insurance are left wondering where they can find telemedicine providers. Luckily, DocReady offers a variety of telemedicine services with no insurance needed. Plus, our virtual doctor’s office visits are very affordable, and we even offer subscription plans starting as low as $20 per month. Finally, healthcare is more accessible than ever. In today’s post, we’ve compiled the most commonly asked questions regarding telemedicine, treatment, and insurance. Keep reading to learn more.

If I don’t need insurance, what can DocReady doctors even do?

Great question! The board-certified doctors at DocReady can diagnose and treat a variety of health conditions just like in-person doctors can. Our doctors may also put in orders for your prescriptions and even COVID-19 tests. We can treat health issues for primary care, urgent care, men’s healthcare, women’s healthcare, and even mental health. What we cannot treat are more serious physical or mental conditions that would need to require in-person care, especially if certain equipment is needed to treat your condition.

What if I do have insurance?

No problem! While you may not be able to use your insurance to cover the cost, you can still book an appointment with the board-certified DocReady doctors. Plus, there are actually many different benefits of booking a virtual appointment with us rather than visiting a doctor in-person who is in your network. For one, our primary and urgent care visits are cheaper than most co-pays at only $39 a visit. Additionally, you can get help anytime and anywhere, without having to wait weeks for an appointment or hours in a waiting room. Finally, just like any other doctor’s visit, after a visit with a DocReady doctor, you will receive a summary of the care provided. Feel free to share our doctor’s notes with the doctors within your network for future visits.

My condition may require in-person care. Should I still visit with a DocReady doctor? What would be the benefits if I have insurance or not?

Yes and no, depending on your situation. If you are in a life-threatening condition, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. If this is not the case, a virtual doctor’s visit would do you good. If you do not have insurance, a virtual visit with a DocReady doctor could save you time and money during your future in-person treatment. When you go for your in-person visit, the doctor may have to start from scratch and won’t know anything about your condition. Instead, have one of our doctors discuss the basics of your condition and potential treatments that you can pass along to the doctor you visit in-person afterward.

Additionally, if you do have insurance, visiting with a DocReady doctor before or after a visit with your primary in-person doctor is also fine. It is a good idea to get a second opinion on your health issues so that you know that the problem actually exists and is being treated properly. If you think your condition may require in-person care, schedule an appointment with a DocReady doctor so you can discuss your symptoms and potential treatments ahead of time. You may even find that an in-person visit won’t be necessary!

Does DocReady offer subscription plans?

Yes! DocReady offers subscription plans for our virtual doctor visits, starting at just $20 per month. While we already made our telemedicine services extremely accessible by not requiring insurance, we wanted to offer you a way to receive our services at a more affordable price than they already are. You can pay for month-to-month visits or you can save even more money and pre-pay for an entire year. Plus, each level of our subscription plans includes unlimited text messaging with one of our board-certified doctors. We even offer a separate subscription plan just for texting if that’s more convenient for you.
